When I started thinking about e-business, building a web site, and the home business online opportunity, I was worried.

The marketing hype around e-commerce and the Internet and all its promises sounded good, but there was no proof that these promises would help me make money.

In fact, I was not entirely convinced that decent money could be made from the Internet and a home business online opportunity.

Well, I'm pleased to say that if you do things properly, there's plenty of money out there.

My Topic


In 2004, I decided to start a pilot and generate online income by building a web site around "Alaska fishing". A site exclusively for people who are preparing for their Alaska fishing vacation.

Why this topic? Because travel sites are in demand, and as a Dutch guy from Europe, I am willing to find out more about Alaska.

So I decided to start building an e-business around being THE expert information-provider for the niche of Alaska fishing vacations.

In 2004, the idea was that for the targeted visitors who surf on my site, I will become someone they can trust, someone to keep them current, someone to follow, someone with answers.

And by publishing an e-zine, I will further cement credibility and a loyal following.

Today, I use the site only for my eYouniversity teachings and classes.
You can visit the site at www.alaska-fishing-vacation-advisor.com. The site has more than 30 pages of content and I continue to publish new information now and then.

In my eYou teachings I'll explain that this travel site is more than just a hobby... as a Netpreneur you are in "business".

So your home business online opportunity must turn a profit. So once I have a substantial number of visitors to my Alaska fishing vacation web site, I can begin to convert this traffic into dollars by introducing two or three income streams.

Add Thousands Of Dollars Per Month To Your Primary Income


Here's how...

1) Start with selling advertising

Basically, I will place Google ads on my Alaska site. For every ad clicked, I receive money (a share of what Google receives from the advertiser).

These ads could deliver a base of more than $1,000 per month.

Google uses its technology to determine the content of each of my site's web pages. It then delivers ads that are contextually relevant to my audience.

2) Sales commissions

I can also earn income from my home business online opportunity by generating sales for other people.

I get a commission every time I send a customer to another web site, for example the site of an owner of a fishing lodge in Anchorage, or the site of a tour operator selling flights to Alaska.

I will join carefully selected affiliate programs that fit my niche. All I have to do is refer my targeted visitors to non-competing, complementary merchants/vendors with generous affiliate compensation programs.

3) Finder fee

I could also blend in one or two finder's fee relationships.

It's possible to earn thousands and thousands of dollars in finder fees through fishing boat sales and car rentals by local agents that I recommend.

I can add additional pay-per-click, pay-per-lead, pay-per-sale, or
pay-per-month income through referrals to local tour operators, inns, rental cars, fishing tours, etc.

Yes, of course. As my Alaska fishing vacation site grows, I can add even more revenue streams for my home business online opportunity.

4) Selling e-books

I can publish an e-book related to my niche. I can write an e-book with proven tips to get the best preparation for your Alaska fishing vacation.

... with my own fishing maps, rods, fishing hats, glasses, fly boxes, flies, and fishing gloves.

So... there's plenty of potential for more. Multiple income streams for my home business online opportunity will add up to a strong, stable income from my site.

Pick yours.

6) Service business

Are you a trainer, an accountant, a copy-writer, a plumbing contractor, or a professional consultant?

No matter who you are or what you do, offer your service online and build a client-base online.

Don't build a poorly designed "circa 1997" brochure site that no one visits. And don't post your specific service to one of the many online forums or market places.

Neither of these two practices gets the job done effectively and efficiently.
